Nostalgia Songfests - Since 2011, Alan and his wife Linda Poland have been creative torchbearers, developing, producing, arranging, narrating, and performing musically unique and colorful nostalgic programs to enlighten the residents of senior living communities. Their shared backgrounds in both popular and classical music launched an ongoing evolution of events which draw on film music, show tunes, classical music, international songs and dances, along with Yiddish and klezmer favorites. Alan enhances his keyboard playing by singing, arranges many of the songs for clarinet, and accompanies Linda. Linda also arranges songs for her instrument and helps choose musical material, especially from the classical and Broadway repertoire. Alan and Linda have performed more than four hundred and fifty concerts in the senior communities of Boston and surrounding regions.
