Alan Pearlmutter is an accompanist, singer, composer, arranger, conductor, and professor, currently
teaching music at Bristol Community College in Fall River and Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg,
Massachusetts. Since 2011 he has been performing imaginative duo-concerts with clarinetist Linda Poland.
Alan plays piano, sings while he plays, and accompanies Linda. As singer, Alan has performed as a church
soloist and as a choral singer with the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, St. Louis Chamber Chorus, and at summer
festivals such as the Blossom, Aspen, and Saratoga Choral Festivals. As an accompanist and pianist, Alan has
worked as a choir director, vocal coach in schools, and as a church organist. Alan's training includes music
degrees from Brooklyn College, CUNY and a doctorate from Baltimore's Peabody
Conservatory of Music. Alan Pearlmutter is founder and music director of the Kammerwerke Double Wind Quintet, a
Boston based professional ensemble which explores and performs symphonic music for ten winds.
